Finally!
Two hands! I have two hands to type and no one is crying to eat or for a clean diaper. No one is running to catch the enemy or rounding up the horses. (Imaginary, of course) No one is calling for help with prime numbers or fractions. There is silence. Quiet. Stillness.
Hmm, maybe I need to go find out where everyone is at. Just kidding! Bedtime has arrived for the Tribe. Everyone (except Sam who is in my lap) is snug in bed drifting off to sleep.
Want to know what the sad thing is? I have no deep thoughts to share. Hee hee.
Ok, maybe one. Yes, I enjoy the stillness. The quiet. The silence. But as I sit here I am thinking of the laughs and giggles, of children who don’t see a chair but horses and wagons, of a girl who travels to Narnia while she washes dishes, of so many hands willing to hold the baby and of eyes full of delight because someone is big enough to do “school”. All day I think if I could just have 5 minutes of quiet, I would be sane, lol. However, when I get it that quiet, all I do is think of the noise that missing. Yep, one crazy mommy.
Mr. Cuteness is fussing. Night!
