At home today
We have been battling a cold in the home for the past couple of weeks. We thought we were finally over it and another round hit. Six out of seven kiddos had to stay home from church today. Rebekah was the only one able to go with Eddie. Thankfully, it is just runny noses and coughs; no fever or upset tummies.
Yesterday, I ventured to the health food store to get Elderberry Syrup to try to help with the cold. The health food store was out of stock. The owner said as soon as he had it on the shelf it was gone and it will be another week before they get any in. Lovely. For now we will have to be happy with snacking on vitamin C.
The sick ones and I spent some time reading in the Word and having some prayer time. They have played a bit and had lunch. One of their favorites; a snacky lunch. You know, cheese, crackers, apple slices, orange slices etc. Now it is quiet time. Mary and Lydia are playing with Legos building houses and listening to Prince Caspian, I believe. Caleb is listening to the Last Battle and relaxing on his bed. Sarah and Hannah are sleeping by my feet all cuddled up with pillows and blankets. Samuel is snoozing in my room. I’m waiting for Eddie and Rebekah to return home and tell me all about the message.
I have plans to start a pair of longies for Sam. My yarn, however, is in my room where he is sleeping so I’ll wait. Don’t want to risk waking him up. He needs a good nap!
I have fabric washing to make a couple of skirts. I need to check to make sure I have the correct measurements. Oh! I also need to get the girls to make some more cloth wipes for Sam. I seem to have lost some.
I have so many blog posts in my head and never seem to have time to type them up. And now that I have time, I just wanted to ramble about my day. No surprise there. Maybe in a bit I can blog about something of a bit more substance or at least have a picture to share.

Well even with the rambling I love hearing about your day/weeks.
ditto Melissa…
What happened to your header/color scheme?
Bloglines is goofy…I check daily for updates to your blog, there hasn’t been one in days and now a few mins ago tells me there are two. I had no idea you posted on Sunday.
Love you Tribe and hope you are all on the mend!!!
